is run by Fiona Beavan and The Trustees of Joshua’s Boxes™.
Many friends of Joshua’s Boxes™
have helped to contribute to this charitable scheme, in addition
this we have had help from a variety of National
Organisations, volunteers, health professionals and consultants.
Q: Is Joshua's Boxes™
a Registered Charity?
A: Yes, we are now registered with The Charities
Commission .
Q: How much do the boxes cost?
A:
The boxes cost from between £10 - £15 depending on
the size and availability of goods. We also provide a range of
other items to individual hospitals if they wish and these costs
can vary. We are committed to keeping the prices as low as possible
without compromising on the quality of the items we supply.
Q: How can I help support Joshua's Boxes™?
A:
There are various ways you can help to support Joshua's
Boxes™:
i) Donations
You can donate to our charitable scheme either directly through
Paypal, through our Trust Fund bank account or by e-mailing
us and pledging a certain amount to Joshua's Boxes™
for the year.
ii)
Items for the Boxes
At present we need hand-knitted, crocheted or sewn items to put
in our boxes and to give out to families. If you wish to help
in this way please e-mail us
and we can supply you with patterns and advice about sizes and
colours to use. If you need, we can also fund the cost of your
materials. If you are a manufacturer and can supply us with any
of these items either as a donation or at a lower cost then please
e-mail us directly.
iii) Starting this scheme in your locality
If you feel you would like to start this scheme in your local
area then please e-mail us.
We hope that eventually we will be able to provide these boxes
in every hospital in the UK that wants them. We are currently
working with a variety of organisations and support groups to
set this up as well as informing every hospital about our boxes.

Q:
How do you use the donations?
A:
The majority of the money that we receive goes directly into providing
the boxes and their contents to hospitals.
A small proportion of our funds have are used to meet small administrative
costs and also to raise awareness and additional support through
leaflets and letters to hospitals in order to extend the work
of this scheme. These costs are kept to a minimum with much assistance
provided voluntarily.

Who do you have backing or support from?
A:
We are grateful for the support of
several national organisations, support groups, companies, local
businesses and many individuals. Without their help and support
what we have achieved so far would have been impossible.
